Our mission is to break down biases and barriers by sharing stories with, for, and about females that create more equitable and empathetic spaces for all who identify as ‘girl’.
It is a movement to own our stories and use them to heal the broken narratives around gender in our culture and create safe, inclusive spaces to learn, work, and play for everyone.

With over two decades of experience as a brand and marketing strategist, Dawne Hanks has journeyed across the globe, delving into the intricacies of human behavior and gaining a profound global perspective—both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. Renowned for award-winning work with influential brands such as Nike, Oakley, TedX Youth, University of San Francisco, and Girls Inc. PNW, Dawne has had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of authentic storytelling and genuine curiosity on individuals and organizations.
As the founder of "Eliminate Girl Hate," Dawne is committed to providing advocacy, consulting, and coaching to both men and women who share a common goal—to build a more equitable world for women and girls. Dawne's passion for fostering positive change and eliminating gender bias shines through in every aspect of their work, making her a powerful voice for progress and equality and now her focus is on shining a light on the voices of others.
No matter what I did, or how far I came, I was still “just” a girl in the eyes of many, Not worthy of safety, security, grace, opportunities, and so much more. I couldn’t sit on the sidelines any longer.

Hi, I'm Jenny Rodriguez, a graphic designer with a keen eye for visual storytelling. While I am just beginning my journey in the design world, my passion for creativity and photography has been a lifelong pursuit. I believe in the power of visuals to communicate, inspire, and connect people. I specialize in creating engaging and aesthetically pleasing designs, drawing inspiration from the world around me. Photography is my secondary passion, often informing my design choices and allowing me to approach projects with a unique perspective. Whether I'm capturing stunning landscapes or crafting compelling graphic designs, my goal is to create work that resonates and makes an impact. As a newcomer to the industry, I am eager to collaborate and learn from others, constantly evolving my skills and exploring new creative possibilities. Ayanna Cooper
Copy Writer & Editor
Ayanna Cooper is a writer and digital marketing/communications specialist, based on the West Coast, specializing in crafting compelling B2C and B2B brand copy that charms, captivates, and converts–now and later. After obtaining her Bachelor’s in Writing from Savannah College of Art & Design in June of 2022, she decided to pursue her Master’s from SCAD in September of 2022. Ayanna has written for chemical manufacturers and distributors, financial tech payment companies, well-known logistic companies, non-profit organizations, security services, and start-ups. Ayanna joined the team as a new Copywriter & Editor, focusing on creating and revising core brand copy and promotional materials. As someone passionate about the exchange of stories, she is thrilled to be working for a brand that is dedicated to creating safe and equitable spaces through these exchanges.
Brandon Jochum
Audio Engineer
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, I made my way west to Santa Cruz, California. Along the way I've worked in the broadcast and A/V industries as an engineer, and have been a creative consultant on a wide range of projects. Currently, I'm the primary caregiver to my beautiful baby daughter and have an in-home recording studio. With over 200 podcast episodes, multiple audiobooks, a full length album, and numerous singles under my belt, I'm excited to leverage my skill set in audio engineering to bring Eliminate Girl Hate's podcast to life. When I'm not watching my daughter or working on sound projects, I enjoy a really good cup of craft coffee and keeping up on my guitar playing chops.

Web Developer & SEO Specialist
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, I am an incredibly versatile professional with a rich tapestry of experiences uniquely qualifying me for UI/UX Design and Frontend Web Development roles. Self-taught in responsive web design and SEO optimization, I've honed my skills to develop several web projects and support the success of my Unsplash portfolio, obtaining over 28 million views and 175,000 downloads of my photos in under two years. Overall, I value roles where I can use and refine my work in SEO optimization, graphic design, UI/UX, photography, and more.
