Every year, International Women’s Day (IWD) gives us the opportunity to reflect on the progress made toward gender equality and the work still left to do. For IWD 2025, the theme is powerful: #AccelerateAction. But what does that really mean?
According to data from the World Economic Forum, at the current pace of progress, it will take 134 years—that’s five generations—to reach full gender parity. This timeline, stretching all the way to the year 2158, is simply unacceptable. While we’ve made some strides, there’s still much more to be done to create a world where women and men truly have equal opportunities.
So, how do we change that? We need to act now, not wait for future generations to carry the burden of progress. This is where each of us can make a difference, whether as individuals, leaders, or allies.
The good news is that change is possible, but it requires collective action. As part of my commitment to helping accelerate change, I’ve created free resources designed to empower and equip you with the tools to drive real, lasting progress in your life, career, and community.
From actionable strategies to insightful tools, these resources are crafted to help you move forward—faster—toward a future of equality.
So, let’s join hands and accelerate action today. Let’s work together to create a world where gender equality isn’t just a dream but a reality.
