We were scrolling through social media recently when we came across a number of posts featuring the acronym "SINK"—and let’s just say, we had thoughts. For those unfamiliar, SINK stands for “Single Income, No Kids”, and it’s often used to describe individuals, mostly women, who don’t have children and live on a single income. Now, if you’ve ever come across an article with this label, you’ll know it’s usually followed by reasons why women in this category should feel embarrassed, ashamed, or like they're somehow missing out on the "real" path in life.

Our immediate reaction? WAIT. HOLD UP… WHAT?

No, thank you.

In this episode, Stacey Sonbert helps us dive into why this label is not only ridiculous but harmful. The idea that women—especially those who choose not to have children or live a life outside traditional family structures—should somehow feel lesser is absurd. Who decided that the only path to fulfillment is marriage, kids, and the classic "two-income" household? The truth is, every woman’s journey is different, and that difference is something to be celebrated, not shamed.

We discuss the many benefits of living a life that aligns with your own values and desires—whether that means being a SINK, embracing your independence, or choosing a path that feels right for you. The world doesn't need another dismissive or outdated acronym to box women into a specific role. Whether you’re a SINK, a MILF, or any other label society tries to slap on you, it’s time we move beyond these narrow definitions.

At the end of the day, women should feel empowered to live the life that makes the most sense for them. No shame, no labels, just freedom to choose. Join us for this lively discussion as we dismantle the pressure of societal labels and talk about how we can create a world where women are free to live authentically, without apology.

Join us for this transformative conversation and be inspired to step into your authentic self.
